Position Summary
As a Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for creating a memorable experience that conveys value and quality with exceptional hospitality. You will build food items and make coffee-based beverages in line with company standards and expectations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Take and place order, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
- Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
- Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments
- Follows standardized recipes to ensure accuracy with food orders
- Manage high volume orders efficiently
- Assists customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and adhering to coffee recipes
- Responds to customers? needs and says thank you to every customer
- Maintains customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner
- Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
- Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
- Unload delivery orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in workstation, counters, tables, etc.
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
- Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators and coolers, slicers and beverage machines
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Able to handle multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks
- Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
Minimum Requirements
? Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
Preferred
? One (1) year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant
? One (1) year of experience of guest service experience
? Experience working in a similar resort setting
